Amazing 120fps Video from Red

When you think video cameras the thought is usually Sony, Panasonic, or Canon.
Seemingly out of nowhere, an upstart named “Red” introduced a revolutionary digital cinema camera. It shoots at resolutions so high there is not a display on the market that can run its video natively. Most amazing is that it’s priced at a fraction of the cost of comparable cinema cameras on the market (although far out of reach for most mortals). It also has an amazing high speed mode that has to be seen to be believed:

Sometime next year the Red folks are going to introduce a camera called the Scarlet with comparable features at a breakthrough price for enthusiasts: $3000. While that’s a hefty sum, it will bring features that only just recently cost hundreds of thousands of dollars into the hands of amateur filmmakers. I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these.
